The Magazine Advert draft one

I didn't want to waste the weekend so using trusty old Picasa I began to create my magazine advert. This is what I ended up with, but I'm really not happy with it as the software isn't quite good enough to get the effect that I want. I like the overall setup of my advert, however I want to try and make the text look more like part of the image rather than something slapped on top. So I will post what I created however I intend to re-do it in Photoshop.
